FACULTY - Don Schwieters

Don Schwieters graduated from the University of Minnesota, in 1980, with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation, Don went to work for a large, agricultural, chemical firm, where he became one of the top sales leaders in the company. After two years, he was promoted to help train and develop new employees.

In 1983, Don felt as though he could be successful as an entrepreneur; so he began a part-time, training and consulting business through the local community college, Southwest State University. This business offered sales, leadership, and time- management training to small and mid-sized businesses. By 1985, the company grew into a full-time training business.

Observing one dramatic need that affected all his clients, he founded a second company, My-Tyme, Inc., dedicated to helping clients increase productivity and become more effective in every area of life. After two years, sales grew to $2.2 Million; and the company was noticed by Paul J. Meyer, whose training companies were doing business in 60 countries and in 17 languages around the world.

In 1994, Don sold My-Tyme, Inc. to Paul J. Meyer and was asked to run the Company as CEO and President. After retiring from My-Tyme, Inc., he maintains his passion for training and continues to conduct time-management seminars for business clients.

When Don was introduced to Nouveau Riche University, he saw real estate as a great way to build an investment portfolio. In just 6 months, he purchased 10 investment properties "Subject-To."  He finds this process to be a profitable way of buying and selling properties and is thrilled to share it with the NRU students.

Don is the father of three children -- a son who attended Oklahoma University (OU) and two daughters, a senior at Texas Christian University (TCU); and sophomore at the University Texas Tech (UTT)
